MERCATO MAYFAIR

Mercato Metropolitano’s second site, Mercato Mayfair, is a cultural hub and sustainable community market in the regenerated St Mark’s on North Audley Street, Mayfair.

Two levels of food stalls and bars are accompanied by a rooftop terrace, whilst the vaulted crypt basement hosts an authentic wine cellar with fresh cuts and world cheeses, a micro-brewery, events and cookery classes for everybody to gather, learn and share. In keeping with Mercato Metropolitano’s mission, ingredients are fresh, artisanal and sustainably sourced as far as possible.

community space

Mayfair Community Space is housed in Mercato Mayfair’s basement – available to local residents and associations for community events as a ‘village hall’ for the area. Free music classes and performances will take place within the space, with a focus on making contemporary jazz and opera accessible to children and families.

Our Site

Mercato Mayfair sees Grade I-listed St Mark’s reopen to the public after decades of private use. After spending 30 years on Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register, a two-year £5 million restoration of the deconsecrated church, by Grosvenor, has repaired and revived the building’s heritage features.
